AFRICAN FOOD – MAIN DISH
1. Mtori: this kind of food originated from
Chagga people of Moshi- Kilimanjaro and cooked chicken/goat with mashed
bananas, served with chapatti or donates.
2. Pilau: this kind of food originated from
East –coastal of Tanzania and well cooked with boiled rice, meat and spices
with boiled potatoes.
3. Ugali: this is a kind of porridge
prepared/cooked from grain powder mainly from millet or maize and not very
often from rice. Ugali served as it is, but eaten in tandem with all kinds of
meat, fish, vegetables legumes, milk etc.
4. Nyama choma ( Meat dish): there are
various way to prepare Nyama choma (meat dishes ).The Africa/Tanzanian –nyama
choma mixed with special spices or sometimes traditional medicine, but have a unique cuisine of preparing as meat
dish ( Nyama choma)
